Peats Bite opened in November 1982. It was not planned but was simply a spur of the moment comment by Tammy that brought about the decision to open a restaurant.

We had just purchased the property and were enthralled by the beautiful location. It seemed a great idea to establish some sort of business so we could spend seven days a week on the river and get the most out of the surroundings.

Now in our 26th year of operation we can reflect on this spontaneous decision and realise how fortunate we are and how much enjoyment it has brought. We are now regularly referred to as icon in the industry and we regularly reflect on our wonderful clientele and staff and the great friends we have made over this quarter of a decade.
